* RIP Steve Samuels and Lee McBee….!

Sad to hear that Steve Samuels passed away.blue-sting-012-frontcover-steve-samuels-200x200 Steve was an amazing musician…and I hate to say “amazing” because it’s so overused…but check out his left arm in the photo and then listen to the clip below (with David Fraser on vocals). Samuels had the fattest, richest tone ever. A big early influence on me when I first moved to California. Saw him play so many nights. RIP Sammy… – Rick Holmstrom 2014.06.21 989 Parsifal released Stev Samuels’ first album ‘Saturday Night Blues’ on the ‘Blue Sting’ label. Some years later Steve toured the Benelux with the Belgian bluesband Hideaway and was special guest on Hideaway’s second album ‘Come Inside’

Dearest friends, family, fans and fellow musicians around the world. It is with a very heavy heart that I have to inform you that our dear friend LEE McBEE passed away this afternoon in Lawrence, Kansas. Carla has asked me to tell you that they went swimming this afternoon at their local pool that they frequent and Lee died suddenly. The Doctors said he went fast and painless. Any service information will be posted on the Lee McBee & The Confessors Face Book Page. – Patrick Recob (Bassist with The Confessors)
